Hello All -
I’m finally back home from a whirlwind time in NYC where I spent time designing for one of my favorite folks, David Beahm, and perusing the expansive Stationery Show. All of my trips to New York will become a future post where I am going to begin highlighting a professional in the industry I admire. I will be doing the first post on David very soon…. Super exciting..
In this post I’m going to share some of my favorite fab finds from the NSS 2010. This was my first time to attend and it was nothing short of overwhelming! I walked the show with Stacie Francombe and the crew from Get Married searching out some of the best new products and trends for her to feature. Some of my favorites just may end up on her show or blog, but I have a few that were very “Confero” and that stood out to me.
I should have done better with taking photos to go along with every card or press kit that I gathered, but I didn’t. I apologize it’s a bit jumbled. I have some images and some links… just click through as many as you want. I promise they are all amazing products you are bound to love. Enjoy!
The entry to the show really set the tone – all of the colors were so vivid.
I was SO proud to see one of my dear friends Emily Ley debut her line, Emily Ley Paper, and her new collections under the umbrella of Whitney English. She is a fellow MTH’er who has been the prime example of how to truly make things happen! Love this girl and her beautifully classic work.
Some of the top memorable items I wanted to show you…
Jonathan Adler’s new line of “nifty gifties” was SO cool. Fantastic colors and patterns. Bucky Balls was also super cool and could easily be a modern wedding favor. The suite at bottom-right was by Elum. I was blown away by this company. I will definitely be using them in the future.
Sad day, but I don’t remember exactly which company produced this product – but the different colors and textures of this gift paper was phenomenal. How fabulous would a fancy box be wrapped in these beauties?!?
(photo left) Another one of my great stationer friends, Sonia Davis, was showing her line she designs for Inviting Company. She’s talented beyond belief combining patterns, font styles and colors like non other. (middle photo) There was a fabulous company, Rock of Ages Press, who carries these designer bibles that were super chic! I could see some glam gal carrying this find in on a Sunday morning! (photo right) This super cool prize was a stainless steal production that any groom or groomsmen would be happy to have. Check out StewartStand to see more.
I met a SUPER fabulous friend from Byrd & Bleeker. They had THE most fabulous booth set up complete with Stark acrylic furniture, and a SmileBooth. She was styling so we had to pose for a photo. LOVED this lady!
Also ran into former Project Runway contestant Chris March. Super funny guy!
Other wonderful folks I met and wanted to mention….
